Soft light shimmered across the glass cases.

Diamonds caught the glow, scattering golden reflections across the polished surfaces. It was the kind of place where everything felt expensive — even the silence.

A small hand held tightly to a bigger one.

The little girl stepped inside first.

Light blue dress.

Pink cardigan.

A tiny white plush toy pressed gently to her chest.

Her eyes lit up instantly.

“Daddy… look…”

The father smiled, soft but tired.

He had gentle eyes that looked like they had carried many long days. He wore a grey hoodie, worn jeans, and simple shoes.

To some people, he looked like a man who didn’t belong there.

But some people judge too quickly.

“We’re just looking for your birthday, okay?” he said, squeezing her hand.

Then heels clicked across the floor.
