The Lesson That Broke Him Before It Built Him

Chapter 6: Deployment Orders

The orders came without warning.

Deployment.

Active zone.

Real war.

The mood shifted instantly.

Training was over.

Now it mattered.

The young man checked his gear twice. Then again.

Hands steady.

Mind focused.

As they boarded transport, he caught sight of General Markov speaking with other officers.

Calm.

Unshaken.

Like he had done this a hundred times before.

Because he had.

Hours later, the battlefield unfolded before them—smoke, distant gunfire, tension thick in the air.

This wasn’t training.

Mistakes here didn’t get corrected.

They ended things.

“Stay sharp,” their commander said.

The young man nodded.

Every lesson.

Every correction.

Every moment—

It all led here.

And somewhere deep inside—

He knew.

This was where he would prove who he had become.
