Part 2: Rose Full Story

Part 2: The Back Seat

The car door ripped open under Dean’s grip.

And there she was.

Rose.

Alive.

But barely.

Her body was slumped against the seat, bruises blooming across her skin. Her lips were cracked. Her breathing shallow. She looked smaller somehow—like the world had worn her down piece by piece.

For a moment, Dean forgot how to breathe.

Then—

“Mama!”

The little girl broke free and climbed into the back seat, throwing her arms around Rose.

Rose stirred weakly, her eyes fluttering open at the sound. She pulled the child close with shaking arms, pressing kisses into her tangled hair.

“I’m here,” she whispered. “I’m here, baby…”

Then she looked up.

And saw him.

Dean.

Her expression shattered.

Not fear.

Not shock.

Relief so deep it hurt to look at.

“I told her…” Rose whispered, her voice barely holding together, “if she ever saw the wolf patch… she’d be safe.”

Dean dropped to his knees beside the car.

Everything—the years, the anger, the searching—it all crashed into this one moment.

He looked at Rose.

Then at the little girl.

Then back again.

And the question came out before he could stop it.

“Is she mine?”

Rose broke into tears before she even spoke.

Her hand moved gently over the child’s hair.

Then she met his eyes.

“Yes.”

Dean’s world cracked open.

Not like a fighter.
Not like a biker.

Like a man who had just found everything he lost—alive, breathing, and within reach.

Behind him, chaos finally erupted.

The man from the diner tried to run.

He made it three steps.

Three bikers brought him down hard against the pavement.

But Dean didn’t even look.

He didn’t need to.

All that mattered was right in front of him.
